Hiding

This is the front of An Cloch Ban a pub in the village of Clonroche in County Wexford in south east Ireland. There were cars parked directly in front of it which led me to taking it for this perspective. It has been a pub since 1650. For more information see http://www.vfi.ie/Pub/109-The-Cloch-Ban

Thank you for all the good wishes yesterday for my return to working one day a week. It went well for both of us.

Garinish Island/ Ilnacullin (Island of Holly)

Located in the sheltered harbour of Glengarriff in Bantry Bay, Ilnacullin is a small island of 15 hectares (37 acres) known to horticulturists and lovers of trees and shrubs all around the world as an island garden of rare beauty. The gardens of Ilnacullin owe their existence to the creative partnership, some eighty years ago, of Annan Bryce, then owner of the island and Harold Peto, architect and garden designer. From http://www.heritageireland.ie/en/south-west/ilnacullin-garinishisland/

From top left: Italian Garden with Caha Mountains in bg; Phill at top of steps leading up to Martello Tower; Phill resting halfway up; One of the views from the top of of the Martello Tower; a dahlia from the walled garden; Seals on Seal Island taken from the ferry; Phill texting on board the ferry; the ferry leaving with the next load of passengers.

We had a wonderful three hours there.

Hidden

On the longest day I thought this was a good choice as the owners don't seem to be too bothered about having lots of light inside!

One of the "finds" on Sunday in a lovely village. Will definitely go back to explore more.
