My Treasured Photos

Old and New

Part of Temple Bar area of Dublin City, Ireland. The modern monstrosity is the Central Bank.

Regarding the 2 cameras in the shot yesterday: I started with a Canon but always wanted a Nikon. So I eventually got a Nixon D80. Phill prefers Canon so he uses it. I was carrying his second Canon as I had more energy that day than he did.

Hope all of you who are in the storm area are safe.

Hi there

When out and about with Phill yesterday this happy face caught my attention. It was behind a very high hedge and as I was just not quite tall enough Phill actually took the shot for me. We were amazed to see a sunflower in mid October.

Phill says a big thank you for all the Happy Birthday wishes yesterday.

Relaxing

I'm back! However like this cat I'm taking it easy as 10 months of intensive treatment has taken it's toll. But also like this cat I'm enjoying every moment now.

This was taken on a diversion we took on our way up to see my family last week.

Thanks to everyone for their support over the past months. I appreciate it very much.

Today would have been my Dad's 85th birthday if he hadn't passed away suddenly 5 years ago. I still miss him. He would have loved this scene.

Pretty in Pink

One of the advantages of the mild winter this year is that my geranium has kept flowering. Taken after the rain.

Strawberry & Cream

This flower caught my eye for its colour and shape.

Phill's medication being changed again but overall the medical people remain pleased with his state of health. Will remain under close medical supervision.

Hiding

This is the front of An Cloch Ban a pub in the village of Clonroche in County Wexford in south east Ireland. There were cars parked directly in front of it which led me to taking it for this perspective. It has been a pub since 1650. For more information see http://www.vfi.ie/Pub/109-The-Cloch-Ban

Thank you for all the good wishes yesterday for my return to working one day a week. It went well for both of us.
