Spring is in the Garden Can't remember seeing a tulip in a garden in mid February before! Tuesday 12 February 2013 Update: Noon GMT Back from my walk. Got talking to the lady who has the garden where this tulip is growing. She says that she can not remember a time that they flowered in February!

Still Colourful Some wonderful colours can still be found in November. I was missing since Wednesday as I had check-ups in hospital. One resulted in my shoulder and arm having to be pushed and prodded and as I have limited movement in it the result was a very stiff arm and shoulder. It is much improved today. Remembrance Sunday http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remembrance_Sunday I, Like most most Irish people do not publicly acknowledge this day due to the divided opinions regarding the Irishmen who fought during "The Great War" However as a result of the change in Anglo Irish relations since the successful visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Ireland last year and that it is Sunday 11 November, I choose to publicly remember. I know the poppies should be read but I haven't any in my stock so I worked on this one taken in my mother's garden in September. It is also her birthday tomorrow :) Sunday 11 November 2012
