Enjoying the View

Phill took this shot of my 14 year old nephew and I when we made it home to Killybegs in September.

The response to the Think Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness was amazing! Personally I was veyr moved by all the entries. A huge thanks to Tina http://sisterhoodofthebras.smugmug.com/ for organizing the challenge.

Shapes

Canis Major Chapel, Sligo, Ireland built in 1848.

"I want to photograph what I see and put it in a dramatic context. I want to tell these stories and present these shapes, colors and movements as I see them, as I see them serve a narrative."
Tommy Lee Jones

The shapes are what caught my eye here.

Early Christian Monastery

This is what they looked like in Ireland around 1,500 years ago. The church and burial ground was higher than the area where the monks lived and the pilgrims stayed.

Last for now in the series from our Sunday trip to the Irish National Heritage Park. http://www.inhp.com/

Today is my work day so hope to catch up on comments tonight. Tomorrow is filled with hospital appointments from 8am therefore I will not be commenting or posting on Thursday.

The Collegiate Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, Youghal, County Cork. The church is presumed to have been a monastic settlement of Saint Declan of Ardmore (c450). Rebuilt in the Hiberno-Romanesque style (c750) the Great Nave was erected in the year 1220. This is a side altar. The building is now a National Monument of Ireland. For more information and history see http://www.youghal.cork.anglican.org/

Taken hand held no flash so I am quite please how it turned out.
Life at Last!

There are two people chatting at the taxi rank which are the first people I came across. Another shot from my Sunday morning stroll around town. It has been wet and windy since Tuesday so I am hoping that there will be a break in the weather over the weekend to get out and about with my camera.
