The Real Shillelagh

For the weekend that is in it :) Shillelagh (Irish: Síol Éalaigh, meaning "Descendants of Éalach") is a village located in County Wicklow, Ireland.
The town was planned as part of the FitzWilliam estate in the 17th century. The town name is associated with the blackthorn walking stick known as a shillelagh.

Truskmore (Irish: Trosc Mór, meaning "big cod") is a 647 m (2,123 ft) mountain on the border of County Sligo and County Leitrim in Ireland. It is the highest peak of the Dartry Mountains.

Madness

This caught my eye a few days ago. There is a lot of talk and very little action about the inappropriateness of some of the speed limits in Ireland. 80km (50mph) on a road where two cars can not pass without one pulling in to the grass verge while on a four lane road with a concrete divider keeping north and south traffic separate has a 60km (37mph) limit
